Caden Leonard, a sophomore at Southlake Carroll High in Texas and the reigning UIL Class 6A state champion who led the Dragons to the team title Nov. 4 at Old Settlers Park, joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to discuss competing in the boys championship race Nov. 18 at the Nike South Regional at Bear Branch Park. Leonard finished 18th in his debut last year at NXR South, helping Carroll XC win the regional title and advance to Nike Cross Nationals, where the lineup placed 20th at Glendoveer Golf Course in Oregon. Carroll XC is looking to add to its regional record by making a 15th all-time appearance Dec. 2 at NXN.
