Senior twin sisters Nicole Humphries and Samantha Humphries of Flower Mound High in Texas, both University of Oregon commits and members of the four-time UIL Class 6A state cross country team champions, join DyeStat editor Erik Boal to discuss competing Nov. 18 in the girls championship race at the Nike South Regional at Bear Branch Park. Both Nicole Humphries and Samantha Humphries placed in the top 10 at NXR South last season at helped Flower Mound XC to take third at the regional championship meet and earn an at-large berth to compete at Nike Cross Nationals at Glendoveer Golf Course in Oregon. Flower Mound XC is seeking its first NXR South title since 2018 and its third overall berth to race at NXN, where the lineup secured sixth place last year, with both Humphries sisters earning All-America honors. Nicole Humphries raced for the first time this season Nov. 4 at the state final, returning from being injured to help Flower Mound secure a fourth consecutive Class 6A team championship.
